Academic Research

High-quality research drives innovation and fuels economic growth, which in turn feeds back into the wealth and well being of society.

The University School of Physical Education in Krakow is committed to the development, advancement and dissemination of knowledge on sport, physical activity, health and tourism. For more than 40 years, we have offered a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum for those interested in postgraduate Master’s or doctoral studies.

The University School of Physical Education in Krakow’s strength is its multi-disciplinary approach to research which covers a wide range of study fields (e.g. biomechanics, cultural studies, etc.) and embraces many different theoretical and/or methodological paradigms.

EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION: BILATERAL AGREEMENTS

Apart from international cooperation coordinated by specific externally funded programmes, the University School of Physical Education in Krakow also cooperates on a bilateral basis with institutions of higher education. The bilateral agreements have a special place in the institutional policy of the university. Currently, our university maintains over 25 agreements with universities worldwide.
The University School of Physical Education in Krakow considers a bilateral agreement as an international cooperation agreement between two universities, concluded in order to start up joint initiatives or to intensify existing contacts. The main purpose is to create opportunities for student and staff mobility within and outside Europe which develop academic relations and long-term cooperation in higher education, research and knowledge exchange.
